Completing the registration process and submitting payment constitutes an agreement on your part to accept the following terms and conditions.
REGISTRATION TYPE
You agree to pay in full the fee that is applicable to your registration category. For example, current full-time students possessing valid student identification are entitled to register at the student rate. Guest registration for evening events is only available for individuals accompanying a registered conference attendee. Membership discounts are only available to SOTA members in good standing. All other individuals must register at the non-member professional rate.
CONFIRMATION & UPDATES
You will receive your registration confirmation and payment receipt by email. Please ensure that your email address is entered correctly in your account on the registration site.
Attendee check-in at the conference hotel will open on Wednesday, August 1st, 2018. Check-in times, locations, and other details will be announced via email and on the TypeCon website.
Registered TypeCon attendees will receive important information and updates regarding their registration, special events, and other conference activities via email. Updates will also be posted on the TypeCon website.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
If you need to cancel, you must notify us via email by Monday, July 30th, 2018.
If you cancel by the aforementioned notification date, your registration fees (including main conference registration, education forum registration, and guest registration) will be refunded, less a $50 processing fee. No refunds will be given for pre-conference workshop or SOTA membership cancellations.
Refunds will applied to either the credit card used for payment of the original fee or in the form of a check drawn on a US bank. Checks will be mailed after the TypeCon events have concluded. Cash refunds will not be considered.
Refunds will not be provided for late arrivals, early departures, “no-shows”, or cancellation requests received after Monday, July 30th, 2018.
SUBSITUTIONS & TRANSFERS
You may transfer your registration to another eligible party if you are unable to attend TypeCon. Attendees transferring registrations to another party are responsible for any and all financial arrangements between transferring and receiving parties.
Registration transfers and substitutions may be requested via email until Monday, July 30th, 2018. After this date, any change requests will be evaluated on an individual basis. There will be a $25 processing fee charged per registration transfer.
